Beginning in January, the Town of Queen Creek will offer FREE Water-Smart Workshops for all Town of Queen Creek water customers through April 2026. These educational workshops focus on desert-friendly landscaping and efficient watering practices designed to help residents reduce water use and save money.

Workshop topics include Citrus Care, Heat-Proofing Your Landscape, Pruning and Maintaining Your Landscape, Irrigation Design and Installation, and Butterfly Gardening in the Desert.

Saturday, Jan. 17
Residents are invited to attend a Master Gardener-led Citrus Clinic covering the essentials of planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing citrus trees. The class will also provide simple solutions for managing common citrus pests and diseases.

Saturday, Feb. 7
Meet horticulturist and author Noelle Johnson, also known as the “AZ Plant Lady,” for an engaging workshop on creating a heat-resilient garden. Participants will learn how to identify signs of heat stress in plants, reduce reflected heat around their homes, and discover Johnson’s top picks for “heat-proof” plants that thrive in extreme desert conditions.

Saturday, April 4
Trees and shrubs are among the most important living elements of your landscape. Join us to learn the fundamentals of proper pruning and how it helps keep your landscape healthy, functional, and looking its best.
