Explore Queen Creek’s Shop Local Holiday Guide and interactive Holiday Lights Map offer two ways to enjoy the season close to home.
QUEEN CREEK, AZ — Finding the perfect Christmas gift or planning an evening looking at holiday lights doesn’t have to take you far from home. This holiday season, Explore Queen Creek, an initiative of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, is encouraging residents to discover what’s available in their own community through A Very Merry Queen Creek.
Two online resources, the Shop Local Holiday Guide and the Queen Creek Holiday Lights Map, connect residents and visitors with local businesses, gift ideas, experiences, and neighborhood holiday displays.
For those working through their Christmas shopping lists, the Explore Queen Creek Shop Local Holiday Guide offers ideas beyond traditional gifts. The online guide features Queen Creek businesses offering dining experiences, entertainment, beauty and wellness services, novelty gifts, golf, and other products and experiences. Shoppers can also explore special holiday offers and events from participating businesses.
The guide is designed to introduce residents to businesses they may not have visited before while encouraging them to keep more of their holiday shopping close to home. Whether it’s a gift certificate for dinner, a relaxing spa experience, or something unique from a local shop, the guide offers ideas for a variety of interests.
The Shop Local Holiday Guide is available at https://explorequeencreek.com/shoplocalholidayguide/.
Beyond holiday shopping, Explore Queen Creek is inviting residents to share one of the season’s favorite traditions: decorating their homes for Christmas.
The Queen Creek Holiday Lights Map is an interactive resource featuring residential holiday light displays throughout the community. Visitors can browse participating homes, view photos and display details, and check the dates and hours lights are available before heading out.
Rather than following a predetermined route, families can choose which displays they want to visit and plan an evening that works for them. They can also make a night of it by stopping for dinner, dessert, or a warm drink at a local business along the way.
The map relies on community participation, and homeowners are encouraged to submit their decorated homes throughout the holiday season. Participation is free. Residents can provide their display address, photos, a short description, and the dates and hours their lights will be on.
The Holiday Lights Map and homeowner submission form are available at https://explorequeencreek.com/holiday-lights-map/.
“Our local businesses are an important part of what makes Queen Creek a great community,” said Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage residents to shop local this holiday season and take advantage of the many opportunities to celebrate right here in Queen Creek. Our Shop Local Holiday Guide is a great place to find gifts and experiences, and the Holiday Lights Map gives families another fun way to get out and enjoy our community.”
Both resources are available online throughout the holiday season, giving residents opportunities to support Queen Creek businesses, discover new places, and enjoy the traditions that make this time of year special.
