The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the grand opening of Sweet Creek Boutique with a ribbon cutting in downtown Queen Creek, welcoming the family-owned business and its collection of local makers to the growing downtown area.

Located at 22225 S. Ellsworth Road, Sweet Creek Boutique was created four years ago by co-owners Tricha Diehl and Nicole Onwuasor, who wanted to build a business they could enjoy together as a family while creating a space where local makers could share their products with the community.

“We wanted to do something with family that we could do together and have the flexibility, and we both love to shop,” said co-owner Tricha Diehl. “We wanted to provide a place for these local makers to have a spot to put and sell their things. That was the biggest thing, having a place that we love to come to and giving that to the community.”

Today, Sweet Creek Boutique is home to approximately 27 local makers, offering shoppers the opportunity to discover a variety of locally made products all in one place. The boutique provides makers with a storefront to showcase their work while giving residents another way to shop local and support small businesses.

“We just love the feel of the community down here, and we’re happy to be open,” said Diehl.
