Queen Creek Chamber Launches Student Entrepreneurship Program with Financial Literacy Workshop for Teens

The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce is excited to launch its new Student Entrepreneurship Program with its first workshop, Money Matters: Building Smart Financial Habits Early, hosted by Academy Bank on Wednesday, June 24, at the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce.

Designed for teens entering the workforce, earning their first income, or preparing for future financial independence, this interactive workshop will provide practical financial literacy education to help students build confidence in managing money and making informed financial decisions.

Topics will include:

• Understanding your first paycheck and how taxes impact take-home pay
• Creating a simple budget and spending plan
• Setting savings goals and building healthy financial habits
• Making smart spending decisions and avoiding common money mistakes
• Banking basics, including checking and savings accounts
• Developing financial skills that support future success in college, careers, and entrepreneurship

“This program is designed to give students practical tools they can use now and throughout their lives,” said Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. “Financial literacy is a critical life skill. By helping students understand how to manage their money, set goals, and develop smart financial habits early, we are giving them the tools to make confident decisions that will benefit them for years to come.”

The Chamber plans to continue the series throughout the year with workshops focused on entrepreneurship, business planning, branding and marketing, social media, networking, leadership development, and pitching business ideas.

The workshop is open to students aged 13-17 interested in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, career development, and future business ownership.
