Uncle Bear’s Reaffirms Investment in Queen Creek Community with Renovations and Renewed Local Focus

Uncle Bear’s Grill & Tap is reaffirming its commitment to the Queen Creek community through significant reinvestment into its flagship location, creating a refreshed experience designed to reconnect with longtime customers while welcoming a new generation of local families and visitors.

Approaching 18 years in Queen Creek and nearly 26 years as a brand, Uncle Bear’s has long been a staple in the Southeast Valley dining scene. Recent renovations reflect both a physical transformation and a renewed focus on community engagement, hospitality, and the family-owned values that have guided the business since the beginning.

“We’re coming up on 18 years for Uncle Bear’s Queen Creek, and over that time, the store has seen a lot of wear and tear,” said founder Todd Carey. “It was the right time to reinvest in the store, but really what I’ve been doing is reinvesting into the company and getting back to my passion, which has always been Grill & Tap.”

The updated space includes a redesigned patio experience featuring new lighting, misters, greenery, upgraded seating, and enhanced indoor-outdoor flow — a concept Uncle Bear’s helped pioneer in the Southeast Valley nearly two decades ago.

“We were one of the pioneers of the indoor-outdoor garage bar flow in the Southeast Valley,” Carey said. “I saw an opportunity to reengage that concept and create an attention-grabbing patio that feels vibrant, welcoming, and community focused.”

More than a renovation project, the investment represents Uncle Bear’s desire to strengthen its connection with the local community as Queen Creek continues to grow and evolve.

“We want to reconnect with our local community, the Chamber, schools, and the families who have supported us all these years,” Carey added. “We hear people say all the time, ‘I grew up coming to Uncle Bear’s,’ and we’re proud that we’re still here serving the community after all these years.”

As a locally family-owned business, the Queen Creek community has played an important role in the company’s story. Carey and his family have lived in Queen Creek for nearly 20 years, and today, his children are actively involved in the business.

“My kids grew up here and now work in the business,” Carey said. “We really appreciate everyone who has come out, brought their families here, and supported us through everything over the years. It’s been incredible for our family to have that experience, and we truly appreciate this community.”

Through continued investment, local partnerships, and a renewed focus on hospitality, Uncle Bear’s aims to remain a gathering place for families, friends, and community members for years to come.
