Annual Founders’ Day Celebration Returns Sept. 19

Celebrate Queen Creek’s anniversary during Founders’ Day on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5-9 p.m. at Frontier Family Park (20039 S. 220th St.), featuring family friendly activities, contests and games for all ages.

Queen Creek incorporated in September 1989, and Founders’ Day has become an annual tradition bringing the community together to celebrate the Town’s history and agricultural roots.

Presented by Earnhardt Queen Creek Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Earnhardt Chevrolet, Founders’ Day offers hands-on agricultural experiences and animal interactions in the FFA Zone, interactive STEM activities in the 4-H Zone, pie and watermelon eating contests, relays, a Nerf Battle Zone, mini golf,  carnival games and more. Attendees can also cheer on the Queen Creek Fire & Medical and Police departments during Battle of the Badge as they go head-to-head in a series of friendly competitions.

Admission to Founders’ Day is free. Wristbands are required to participate in the relays, Nerf Battle Zone, mini golf and carnival games and can be purchased for $15 on event day at the Live Play Learn Ticket Booth, located at the southwest corner of the multi-use fields. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Limited parking will be available on-site. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the free shuttle service available from Central Christian Church (22505 E. Ocotillo Road). Increased traffic is expected in the area, so attendees should plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.

Founders’ Day is a rain-or-shine event. Visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/FoundersDay for the latest event information.

The Town thanks the sponsors and community partners supporting Founders’ Day: Earnhardt Queen Creek Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Earnhardt Chevrolet, Banner Ironwood Medical Center, Grand Canyon Private Academy, Haydon, LG Energy Solution, Primrose School of Queen Creek West, SRP, Rock Point Church, Flatiron Church, Central Christian Church, Queen Creek 4-H and Queen Creek High School FFA.
